As the Nohomin Creek Wildfire Impacts the Lytton Area

Creator, our refuge and strength

Today we lift up to you the people of the Lytton area as once again a wildfire has broken out.

We pray for those who have lost their homes,
have mercy on all who have been evacuated and those who are under evacuation watch.

Guard and guide them with your love and keep them safe.

We pray for all those for whom the fire which began on the 14th July
will have triggered terrible memories of last year’s fire.
Give them peace and calm their soul.

Keep safe all those who are fighting the fire and trying to stop its spread.
Guard them as they work day and night.

Give wisdom to community leaders and elders as they counsel and comfort the people.
Help your love be visible in every action and in every word.

Keep hope alive in all who seek to rebuild their lives and look to the future.
