The Rev. Bruce Chalmers

The Rev. Bruce Chalmers is a graduate of Queen’s University, Kingston and Trinity College of the University of Toronto. He has ministered with congregations in Alberta (Fort McMurray and Fort Chipewyan) and in British Columbia (100 Mile House, Kamloops, and Sorrento).  He has also served as a university chaplain at the University of Western Ontario and as a hospital chaplain.  Volunteer work has included literacy training with Frontier College and board membership with L’Arche, London.  Music is a true interest of his, and he plays several instruments.

Bruce has a love for small-church ministry and has a strong commitment to ecumenism.  Much of his ministry over the years has had an interdenominational dimension, and he believes firmly in the important witness that the North Thompson Ecumenical Shared Ministry gives to the wider church and to the world:  Christians of various denominations worshipping and working together for mutual benefit, “… forbearing one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4:2,3)
