Territory of the People, Anglican Church of Canada
The people of St. George’s, Kamloops, the Rev John Boyd, his wife Jane; The Rev. Beth Marie Murphy (Honourary Assistant), and their families.
For Assisting Bishop Jane Alexander
We pray for new vocations in leadership in the church, especially as we discern who shall fill the office of Bishop of the Territory of the People.

In the world, we pray for the Anglican Church of Southern Africa.

As the Territory of the People prepares for an episcopal election, The Very Rev. Dr. Kyle Norman, Dean of the Territory, encourages us to regularly pray the “Collect for the Vacancy of a See” that has been adapted from the Book of Common Prayer.

Almighty God, giver of all good gifts:
Grant your blessing on the clergy and laity who will assemble for the election of a Bishop;
Give them the spirit of wisdom and understanding,
that a chief Pastor may be chosen who shall minister before you to the glory of your name,
the good government of the Territory committed to their charge,
and the welfare of the holy Church, Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Stewardship Quotes

“Use generosity and gratitude to bring light, truth, and wholeness.”
Stewardship Seconds, United Church of Canada

“The Pharisees (those ‘in the know’) seem to think they’ve got all the right answers.  The blind beggar (who has been ‘on the sidelines’) seems to recognize who Jesus really is, and what he’s about. What kinds of implications are there in this story for those of us who consider ourselves to be faithful disciples and stewards?” ~ based on John 9: 1-41
Sunday by Sunday: Reflections on Stewardship prepared by the Venerable Michael Pollesel, Stewardship Education Coordinator, Diocese of Ontario, Anglican Church of Canada
