BC Synod Elects Bishop
The Rev. Kathy Martin Elected Bishop
At the BC Synod Convention held from October 21 – 24, 2021, the Rev. Kathy Martin was elected Bishop. She will be replacing the Rev. Greg Mohr who is retiring. She will assume office on January 1, 2022. The ordination date has not yet been set.
Bishop-elect Kathy is currently serving the BC Synod as the Assistant to the Bishop for Missional Renewal and Congregational Support. As a result, she already has knowledge of the parishes in the Synod. The work she has done in this position will provide her with a strong foundation as she moves into the role of Bishop.
