Church of St Paul Outdoor Worship and Picnic
Many firsts happened on July 5th!
This outdoor worship service and picnic was the first service and gathering for the Church of St Paul congregation since March! This was the first worship service that the Rev. Bruce Chalmers led in the North Thompson since he became the Priest/Minister/Pastor of the North Thompson Ecumenical Shared Ministry. This was the first worship service where there was a sign in sheet. This was probably the first outdoor worship service held at the Church of St Paul when chairs from the church were not brought outside. This was the first worship service in which people sat so far apart! This may be the first worship service in recent memory where the congregation sat in a circle rather than in rows. This was likely the first picnic held by the Church of St Paul that was not a potluck.
All these firsts were the result of following the guidelines for responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.
