New Two-Point Parish in Kelowna
Faith Lutheran and St. Aidan’s Anglican Celebrate on Friday, March 13th
Two Kelowna churches separated by one kilometre and hundreds of years of history are getting together this Friday. Possibly forever and ever.
The Rutland congregations of the Lutheran and Anglican churches, both of which have struggled with membership and financial issues over the past few years, are now going to be led by the same minister.
Rev. Rick Schulz will be formally inducted (the Anglican term) and installed (the Lutheran term) as the new dual minister at a special worship celebration set for 7 p.m. High-ranking officials from both Protestant denominations will be in attendance for what’s said to be unique commingling of spiritual leadership.
