The Moderator of the United Church, The Right Rev. Gary Paterson, has written to His Grace Bishop Anba Mina, Bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Mississauga, Vancouver, and Western Canada, to express the church’s sorrow and outrage at the tragic events in Libya and our hope that we can work together at mending the broken world that gives rise to such acts of terror.
