Although it is the year for Clearwater United Church to host the Pastoral Charge’s Annual Worship Service and Picnic, everyone had such a great time using the side lawn at the Church of St Paul last year that the decision has been made to return to that site for this year.  The service will begin at 11:00 am on June 22nd with the picnic following.

Other than location, tradition regarding the picnic is being kept.  Therefore, sign-up for the hot dogs, buns, trimmings, and beverages has already begun in Clearwater.  Church of St Paul folk will provide salads.  Everyone is invited to bring desserts and lawn chairs.

This annual gathering of the congregations has a long tradition.  At one time, the gatherings were planned for places between the two communities, so there were several years where we met at the Darfield Hall and the Dunn Lake Bible Camp.  There were also invitations to other churches to join us. In recent years, the two congregations have alternated hosting, with the event being at the home of a member of the host congregation.
