Bible Studies Begin This Week!

A five week Bible Study begins this week in

  • Clearwater on Thursdays at 2:30 pm at Leslie’s
  • Barriere on Fridays at 9:30 am at the church

Each session will last approximately 1.5 hours.  You are encouraged to attend as many as you are able or as interest you.

The first session has been titled “How to Read the Bible”.  It will be a sharing of information and discussion around topics such as inspiration, inerrancy, infallibility, historicity, accuracy, style, genre, language, translation, interpretation, and canon.

The next four sessions will be looking at the gospel of St. Luke, from which most of the gospel readings for the coming year are taken. Some of that discussion will be about the author and the original intended audience, and some of it will be about selected texts and the stories in them.

Pastor Brian describes his Bible studies this way:

I really enjoy it when people are engaged in a lively discussion so the Bible studies that I lead are most often of that nature.  I am there as one who will facilitate the discussion, provide resources to bring to discussion, and to learn myself.

Guests and friends are welcome as well.  Hope to see you there!
